Wow heRS, that's gorgeous. Very well done! What paint did you use? It looks like it has a really nice finish to it.

I used Rustoleum metallic paint, cleaned with dawn dish soap and then with alcohol, prepped with adhesion promoter, 2 coats primer, light sand, 2 coats color, 2 coats clear.

It was a nice day so I went outside to paint the cover, bad idea. should have did in a garage little nats were attracted to it. But it's done and more than likely re-done had some running issues on the front part, transparant color took several passes for the black cover to turn green.

Just wet sand it with some 400# and recoat may take a few times to get it looking good.

What do you guys think of this? The gray will actually be a silverish color and I'll probably make the emblem on the cover match mine (silver outline black center)
