Worth a shot and it won't hurt to get the stock fluid out and replace it with your choice. Plus you can clean the magnetic plug of all debris. Then you should be good for a long time unless you run it hard on or off the track.

It's definitely worth checking into the diff, but usually these noises are just tires. I'm curious to see if it goes away after the new ones are installed.
