Today I had to have my OEM windshield replaced due to a crack. They put in an aftermarket windshield and I hate it. It is totally blacked out by the rear view mirror. The OEM window has the area done in small black dots. They took the old window before I realized this fact. Can someone take a photo from inside your car of the area around the rear view mirror and post it? I want to complain to insurance and ask for an OEM windshield and use the photo to prove the difference....THANKS!!

Camaro Window.jpg

Here is a photo of the windshield they put in my car. I just talked to Safelite Auto Glass who installed this yesterday and asked them to get an approval for the OEM glass. I told them this was not acceptable to me and will drive me crazy! It is SOLID BLACK and you can see how far it extends down behind the mirror. I don't like it.

Well insurance will not pay the difference for a GM windshield, but Safelite told me this was the WRONG glass and they do have the OEM style with the black dots. Coming out this Saturday morning to install another glass. Hope that one wil be the right one and I plan to look at it before it is installed.
