I agree about GM customer service being terrible. The trunk release on mine quit working. Turns out the design of the cables causes them to kink when trunk is closed, and eventually break. Mine is a 2010. Dealer says they just wear out after so many openings. GM customer service just said tough luck. $240 repair bill to have to wiring replaced. Gonna happen again eventually.

wow that is pricey for repairing a part that is designed poorly :(
