How to Replace the Speakers for a 2010 camaro

Looking to replace a blown speaker or need to remove your speakers for an upgrade or other issue? Here are some pictures and directions to help you with this task

Front Center Speaker Replacement

Rear Speaker Replacement

Front Center Speaker Replacement

Removal

1. Remove Speaker grille
2. Remove the 2 screws holding the speaker in place
3. Lift speaker and disconnect electrical connection

Installation

Reverse removal instructions. Speaker bolts should be tightened to 2.5 Nm or 22 lb in

Front Side Door Upper Speaker Grille Replacement

Removal

1. Using a plastic trim tool, release 3 plastic retainers and pull grille assembly straight up.
2. Remove speaker grille bolt (when re-installing, tighten to 2Nm or 18 lb in).
3. Disconnect electrical connector
4. Seperate the speaker grille halves
5. Unclip speaker from grille

1. Remove door trim panel.
2. Remove Speaker screw (when re-installing, screw should be tightened to 2.5Nm or 22 lb in.
3. Remove Speaker and disconnect electrical connector.

Rear Speaker Replacement

1. Remove the rear window shelf panel
- Disable SIR system
- Remove quarter upper trim panel
- Remove rear seat cushion
- Pull the release strap located in the center of the rear seat back cushion, folding the rear seat forward.
2. Remove speaker bolt/screw (one per speaker, re-install at 2.5Nm or 22 lb in)
3. Lift speaker and disconnect electrical connector
